Montserrat's governor assists with community policing (05/10/2009)
As part of the Royal Montserrat Police Force's outreach into the community they recently carried out upgrades to the island's various pedestrian crossings. This is part of their community policing policy with officers of all ranks rolling up their sleeves to assist in various community projects.
His Excellency the Governor, Mr Peter Waterworth who is responsible for Law and Order on island decided to assist with the police force's activities and joined officers in remarking the crossings.
Our photo shows Mr Waterworth painting the crossing in Brades, close to his office in Farara Plaza.
The Royal Montserrat Police Force's special week of activities for Police Week 2009 commence during the last week of October.
